Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for MENOU (the "App").

1. Collection of Personal Information

The App does not collect any personal information.

No account registration is required, and the App does not obtain any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or precise location. Your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID) is, however, used for the delivery of advertising; see Section 6 for details.

2. Network Communication

The core functions — generating training images, synthesising audio, and running timers — are all completed within your device. The App does communicate over the network in order to send the usage statistics described in Section 4 and to deliver advertising as described in Section 6.

3. Device Features Used by the App

• Notifications — used to show the remaining time, phase changes of the timer, and the sound playback state.
• Foreground service — used to keep the timer and audio playback running after you leave the App.
• Ambient light sensor — used solely to show advice based on the brightness around you. Readings are never stored or transmitted.

4. Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)

To improve the App's features and quality, the App uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC, to collect anonymous usage data such as the following.

• Screen views, and how often each feature (training, timer, sound, and so on) is used
• Statistical information such as approximate region, device model, and OS version

No personally identifiable information such as your name or email address is collected. The collected data is processed on Google's servers. For details, please refer to the "Google Privacy Policy" and "Privacy and Security in Firebase".

5. Information Stored on Your Device

Your settings, eye-break reminder times, and the history of your vision check results are stored only on your device. This information is never transmitted to any external server.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC. In order to deliver and measure advertising, AdMob may obtain your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), device information, and information about how ads are shown and interacted with.

• Ads are shown only on the home, settings, and informational screens, and while the timer is idle. They are never shown during training, while the timer is running, or on the sound playback screen.
• You can reset or delete your advertising identifier from your device settings (on Android, under "Settings > Privacy > Ads"). The App remains usable if you delete it.
• For how Google handles information obtained through AdMob, please refer to Google's advertising policies and its "Policies & Terms".

7. Provision to Third Parties

Except where the processing of the usage data and advertising-related information described above is entrusted to Google LLC, the App does not provide collected information to any third party.

8. External Links

The App may show cards linking to pages where music created by us is distributed (music streaming services such as Spotify). Once you open such a link, the terms of service and privacy policy of that service apply.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may change in response to revisions of applicable law or the addition of features. Any significant change will be announced within the App.
